Welcome to my movie blog
I'm not a professional movie critic but I am a professional writer. I've been a writing for newspapers since 1996 and have been an editor since 2000. Today I'm no longer a full-time journalist but I write for Pulse on Saturdays and Savvy on Sundays for NST.
In my capacity as a journalist I've written about politics, business and technology. For fun, I write about judo, a great passion of mine. Another thing I really like doing is watching movies, especially Hollywood blockbuster movies. I know it's not cool to say you like blockbusters. But to say I'm really into foreign art films would simply be a lie. I do like some indie movies though.
Since I enjoy writing about judo so much, I figured I would find it fun and fulfilling writing about movies too. Most of the time, I'll be talking about movies I've seen and movies I look forward to seeing. But I'll also comment on other aspects of the movie-going experience like new technologies and things I would like to see happen.
Look forward to all the great movies you mentioned, 2018 looks like a real blockbuster year!
ReplyDeleteHopefully. Last year was a bit of a letdown.
DeleteGive me a good old human story anytime. Even a biopic. All The Money in the World was very good. Nice pace and great screen presence by Mr Plummer. Intriguing to watch him in action. Looking forward to Darkest Hour and perchance, The Post?
ReplyDeleteI doubt The Post would even make it to the cinemas here. Not the "Fast and Furious" kind of movie that does well here.
